1 package (3 oz.) Jell-O Gelatin (any fruit flavor) 2 tablespoons sugar (optional) 1 cup boiling water 1 cup cold water 1 1/2 cups fruit (*) 1 baked 8-inch pastry shell, Crumb Crust, or 6 to 8 tart shells, cooled (*)use fresh or drained canned or frozen strawberry halves, sliced peaches, red raspberries, sliced bananas, fruit cocktail, or mixed fruit. Dissolve Jell-O Gelatin and sugar in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Chill until very thick. Then fold in fruit. Pour into pastry shell. Chill until firm. Garnish with whipped cream, prepared Dream Whip Whipped Topping, or sour cream and additional fruit or sprinkle of nutmeg, if desired. Speedy Fruit Pie: Prepare Fruit Pie Unlimited, using 10 ice cubes instead of cold water: stir in ice cubes until gelatin thickens -- about 3 minutes. Remove unmelted ice and let stand 5 or 6 minutes: then fold in fruit.
